DANKA Corporate History
Danka was founded in 1977 in Tampa, Florida. By 1986, through an aggressive acquisition strategy and internal growth model, Danka had become one of the leading U.S. independent office imaging distributors.
In 1997, Danka acquired the office imaging business of Eastman Kodak company, significantly increasing its size, the scope of its operations, and the portfolio of products and services available to its customers.
Today, Danka is a U.S.-based company, with well over 2000 employees. By sustaining a customer-centric focus for 30 years, Danka has developed an enviable and loyal customer base of well over 100,000 print and copy devices.
Through partnerships with leading manufacturers, including Canon, Toshiba HP and Kodak, and document software solutions partners such as eCopy and others, Danka is uniquely positioned to meet the comprehensive document needs of these customers in a rapidly changing environment.
We are continuing to build on our history of document leadership through over 50 empowered local U.S. market teams that serve our customers who produce billions of printed documents each month.
